How many famous aphorisms we know about beauty. Many of you have already begun to recall these statements. Most likely, something like “beauty will save the world”, “beauty requires sacrifice”, “do not be born beautiful, but be born happy”, etc., occurred to you. etc. And women are considered to be the main persecutors of beauty. What they do poor do to achieve perfection! Men proudly call themselves connoisseurs and often define the criteria for beauty, and women, in turn, diligently try to meet them. Let's remember what sacrifices the female gender went on to become more attractive.

Many will say that torturing yourself with executions for the sake of approaching the ideal of beauty is not at all necessary, because the main thing in a woman is her eyes. They are able to bewitch anyone if the imps run in them, the stars sparkle and the blue sky is seen. But women have always valued natural gifts not very highly, so they resorted to tricks of various kinds. For example, at one time it was popular to bury the juice of an atropine containing plant Beladonna, or "a beautiful woman." An incredible brilliance really appeared, except that the eyes of the beauties left.

Now, in pursuit of harmony, women exhaust themselves with diets and gyms, and before that they became breeders of tapeworms in their bodies. Their larvae enter the body along with the pill, then grow and take over all the nutrients. The necessary harmony quickly came, but the life of the thinner beauty just as quickly ended.

Many women complain about the need to wear uncomfortable underwear, this is because they never wore corsets of the XIX century. It took only an hour and a half to tighten it. But then you immediately got a wasp waist, and the displacement of the ribs and internal organs did not bother anyone.

XIX century gave free rein to female fantasy. All that they had on hand became a means of achieving beauty. Everyone knew about lead powder, which gives skin whiteness, even color and smoothness. But few people guessed that in addition to perfect skin, women received a brain tumor, paralysis and untimely death. Around the same time, many young ladies began to take arsenic, but not to commit suicide, but to achieve a pleasant complexion, shine in the eyes and exciting roundness in the body.

The Chinese have always been much fiction. It was in China that the tradition of bandaging feet began. They began to do this even to little girls, their fragile legs were tied up as tightly as possible. And all for the sake of turning the legs into "golden lotuses". As a result, the so-called lotuses exuded a terrible smell, rot and were covered with deep folds. The process of deformation itself was unimaginably painful. And the men did not even suspect such nightmares and were touched by an uncertain walk and the feet of a puppet size.

If you think that such research was a mistake of the past and a lack of knowledge of science, then you are mistaken. Even nowadays women still strive in every way to "redraw" themselves. Here is an example. In the XX century, radioactive cosmetics became very popular, which gave the skin a healthy color, eliminated inflammation and imperfections. Women around the world bought miracle jars and went crazy with delight. This lasted until scientists proved the presence of a small side effect, as a result of which the pretty ladies literally fell off their jaws.
