The first class for young children and their parents is not an easy test. Changing the daily routine, the first teacher, the new team, a huge unfamiliar building - all this causes a variety of sensations in the child's soul, which may not always be positive. The task of the teacher and parents is to help the child successfully get used to school.

The adaptation period is individual for each student, someone joins the team more quickly, easily dives into study, makes friends, and someone takes much more time to do so. There are several types of adaptation: physiological, social and psychological.

Physiological adaptation of the child to school

At first, it is difficult to sit quietly, learn lessons, focus on the teacher and his stories, do the class work and homework correctly and beautifully.

The body of a child is under stress due to the new loads and tensions, which adversely affects his health: headaches, loss of appetite and weight, various diseases. To facilitate this difficult period, the child must adhere to the daily regimen. After classes, it is necessary to give an opportunity to rest a tired body: lie down to sleep or just lie down, read an interesting book, watch TV. Then you have to do all the homework, not leaving them in the evening, as the mental activity in the evening subsides. Before going to bed or after the lessons made, it is advisable to take a walk outside, take a breath of fresh air, give an output of unspent accumulated energy for the whole day. First-grader should sleep at least at nine o'clock in the evening. A good, strong, prolonged sleep will help to fully restore the spent strength.

Psychological adaptation

Preparing parents for the school of a future first-grader is not only acquiring clothes, notebooks, a briefcase, a pencil case, but also psychological support from a baby.

Be sure to tell your child about what awaits him at school. It is impossible to talk only about good and bright events, it is necessary to mention possible difficulties so that the baby can cope with them independently or with parental help. He should have clear and correct ideas about the school in order to avoid further unnecessary disappointments.

Share different stories from your life so that the child will understand that you have had both funny and difficult situations. Do not immediately demand only positive assessments from the student, help him deal with things he does not understand, praise him for the "five" and do not punish him for the first bad grades during the adaptation period, otherwise his desire to learn will lose the meaning for the child. Help your baby to master a new stage of life.

Social adaptation

Not every child has a high sociability with their peers. Shy kids need more time to master and help parents and teachers. Every day, take an interest in the events taking place in the school life of your children, ask about friends, invite their little comrades to visit. The child must feel the care of his parents.

Proper formation of ideas about the school, caring support of relatives, attentiveness and experience of teachers will help the child calmly and harmoniously integrate into the school world!
