Experts noted that it is to describe expensive dishes that people use sexual words. For example, expensive baking is called "orgasmic", and foie gras - "seductively browned."
It is curious that food from cheap restaurants was described with the help of “drug addict slang”: with respect to pizza and french fries, the words “craving” and “addiction” were used. Scientists identify such expressions with the guilt felt by the visitors of the “eatery” who are not able to render themselves in fast food.
With regard to sexual connotations, which is used in the description of expensive dishes, here scientists are confused. Perhaps, the similar characteristic of elite dishes is connected with the fact that often when they come to a date in a restaurant, people think about sex.
