French fries are a favorite dish of many, which can be enjoyed in any fast food restaurant.

It, of course, cannot be called useful, since it is cooked in large quantities of oil, but sometimes you can treat yourself to delicious, crispy potatoes.

It’s rather difficult to cook french fries at home if you don’t have a deep fryer, because you don’t want to bother with pans.

Today, almost every kitchen has this miraculous unit, in which you can cook not only porridge or soup, but also fragrant, crispy potatoes with a delicious crust.

To cook french fries in a slow cooker you need a very small set of ingredients. We only need potatoes, oil, salt and spices.

The slow cooker has special modes with which you can cook crisp. Basically, this dish is prepared in the following modes: "Baking", "Deep fryer", "Multipovar".

The main secret of delicious french fries in a slow cooker is to choose the right potato and butter.

Early potato varieties are not suitable for this dish, as it contains a lot of starch. As a result, the potatoes simply turn into mashed potatoes. Choose late varieties, with a pink skin and a yellowish core. Tubers should not be damaged or rot. Take even, fairly large potatoes of the same size.

Oil is preferably used deodorized or refined. Its aroma will not interrupt the smell of potatoes, and the dish will turn out not too greasy. Although this is not important, there are lovers of real sunflower oil with a pronounced aroma.

Peel the potato. To deep-fry it is crushed. long blocks, up to a centimeter thick. Cutting thinner is not worth it, otherwise it will fall apart when frying, and thick whetstones will not have time to fry. Then the potatoes are washed to rinse off the starch residues and dried well on a disposable towel.

To make the potato really crispy and tasty, it is better to cook it in small portions.

The slow cooker is installed in baking mode. Timer set for an hour. Sunflower oil is poured into the container and waiting for it to heat up, but not boil. Dip the potatoes in portions and fry them for six minutes, stirring occasionally so that it is evenly fried. Then put the potatoes on a paper towel so that the excess oil is absorbed. So fry all the potatoes and cool it. Then bring the oil in a container to a boil and once again fry the potatoes in small portions for two minutes. Spread it on a paper towel. 5. Turn on the baking mode on the multicooker. Set the timer for forty minutes. Pour oil into a container, wait until it has warmed up well, and put potato sticks in it. Close the lid and cook for half an hour. Stir the potato and continue cooking for another ten minutes without closing the lid.

Recipe 3. French fries in a slow cooker in the "Free" mode

Ingredients

450 g of frozen potatoes (semi-finished product);

ground black pepper;

one and a half liters of sunflower oil;

sea ​​salt.

Cooking method

1. Pour oil into the tank of the multicooker. Turn on the "Free" mode on it.

2. When the sunflower oil is sufficiently hot, put the potatoes in a deep-frying basket and dip them into the hot oil.

3. We keep the basket until all the potato wedges are covered with a golden crust.

3. Once the oil has warmed up well, dip the potatoes into it and fry for ten minutes.
