With the invention of the light bulb, people began to sleep less. Earlier, with the onset of darkness (and in the winter in Russia it comes at 6 o’clock in the evening), candles were lit. But their light could not replace the daylight, and it was not cheap, so people tried to go to bed early.

Now there is no such problem: lamps of any shape and size are ready to help if the day ends, and the thirst for activity is in full swing. However, if you previously saved on candles, now you have to save on electricity. A new generation of energy saving bulbs came to the aid of rational owners.

Have modern housewives appreciated the benefits of this invention? You will learn about this from a survey conducted by the Women's Opinion portal.

As it turned out, half of the respondents were in no hurry to switch to energy-saving light bulbs in full. 49% combine the use of both. One of the problems that interfere with equipping your apartment with new generation bulbs is the shape of the bulb itself - it is not intended for small lamps and chandeliers of an exotic shape. Some do not like the "cold" light, an ordinary light bulb seems more comfortable and remains a faithful companion to sconces and table lamps.

32.5% purchase exclusively energy-saving light bulbs, considering them a great way to save on electricity.

18.5% of respondents remain faithful to the good old incandescent bulbs. Some, as indicated above, are not satisfied with the light of their competitors, some are priced, and some have heard that energy-saving bulbs may be unsafe and release toxins into the environment.

In general, in Russia there is a tendency to refuse incandescent bulbs. Moreover, their energy-saving brothers do not stand still: light bulbs with a cozy yellow glow have already appeared. The main thing is to buy a light bulb from a trusted dealer, otherwise it will burn no longer than usual. In addition, their service life is significantly reduced if you have an unstable network.

3870 people from 113 cities of Russia shared their thoughts with the Women's Opinion portal. The age of the respondents ranged from 20 to 45 years.
